Mr. Alexander Mathis, 51, of Blytheville, died August 2, 2012, at the Osceola Therapy and Living Center in Osceola, AR. Mr. Mathis was born in Blytheville to Marie Webb and James Mathis. He attended Blytheville Public Schools, and worked as an automobile mechanic until his illness.
Mr. Mathis is survived by two sons: Alexander Mathis, Jr. and J.J. Mathis, both of Tulsa, OK;
one daughter, Anitta Mathis of Blytheville;
four brothers: Robert Webb of Blytheville, Jerry Mathis and John Lumpkins both of Memphis, TN, and William Jefferson of Tulsa, OK; and
three sisters: Betty Jean Webb, Caroline Webb, and Patricia Lumpkins, all of Tulsa, OK.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie Webb and James Mathis.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 11th at 1:00 pm at Carney funeral Home Chapel.
