Mr. Tony Bell, 54, of Blytheville died Saturday, July 31, at his home. He was co-owner and operator of Tomorrow's Child Learning Center. He was a member of the Lion's Club, a Mason and on the board of the Boys and Girls Club. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Bell was very active in politics both on the state and national scene. He was also very adept at building computers and other technology projects. He was always available for his friends to bring their computers to him for him to repair.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Daphne Simpson Bell; one daughter, Elizabeth Bell of Blytheville; one son, Michael Bell of Little Rock; three brothers: Charlie Bell of Batesville, AR, Aubrey Bell of N. Charleston S. C. and Jimmy Bell of Gosnell, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and the staff and children of Tomorrow's Child Learning Center.
Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson Bell and Dena Drane Joiner Bell, and one sister, Margaret McClung.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 3 from 5 until 8 at Carney Funeral Home, 1501 Byrum Rd. in Blytheville.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday morning at 11:00 in Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tommy Carney officiating.
Burial will be in Carney Cemetery.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Tony Bell Education Fund at Farmer's Bank.
