Aron Lee Woodruff Sr., 72, of Blytheville Arkansas, passed away on Monday February 17, 2020, at home surrounded by loved ones.
Aron was born on March 26, 1947, in Dell, AR, the son of the late Tom Woodruff and Julia Bates and attended Harrison High School. He retired after 44 years from Nibco with many accolades and accomplishments! He was an avid golfer and enjoyed bowling, walking, hunting, fishing, and traveling.
At an early life, he accepted the Lord as his personal Savior. He attended West End Missionary Baptist Church of Blytheville, AR, where he served on the deacon board and was also the Sunday School Superintendent for more than thirty years. Later in life he became a member of the United Methodist Church of Osceola, AR.
Aron was preceded in death by: four sisters Zula Mae Lofton, Sadie Lee Cullins, Minnie Woodruff, Betty Bates, and seven brothers, MacArthur Woodruff, David Woodruff, T.W. Woodruff, Walter Woodruff, James Woodruff, Johnny Bates, and Clarence Ross.
Left to cherish his memory are: wife Dorothy Woodruff of the home, daughter Tiffany (Roland) Mitchell of Houston, TX; three sons Aaron (Valerie) Woodruff of Blytheville, AR, Erick Woodruff of Jonesboro, AR and Abel Woodruff, of Little Rock, AR. Brothers, Peter Woodruff of Las Vegas, NV and Cecil Bates of Kalamazoo, MI, and sister Tammy Woodruff of Kalamazoo, MI: and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Pallbearers are; Aaron Woodruff, Erick Woodruff, Abel Woodruff, Josh Woodruff, Scottie Pugh and Ronnie McShan.
In lieu of flowers the family requests any donations be made to The Alzheimer’s Foundation (alzfdn.org).
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 22, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. in Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop M.L. Smith officiating. Visitation will be 10:00-12:00. Burial will be in Carney Cemetery. Re-pass will be held at Carney Funeral Home immediately after the burial.
