Bettye Jean Wherry

Bettye Jean Wherry, 68, of Blytheville passed away at Methodist University hospital in Memphis TN.  She was born in Blytheville on May 12, 1950 to Samuel and Bernice Wherry.

Her hobbies included fishing and baking. She loved reading her Bible and the fellowship of the Jehovah Witness. She also enjoyed taking her nieces and nephews for long rides on country roads.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Alma Jean Carthee; and one brother: Samuel Wherry, Jr.

She is survived by one sister, Janice Lake, of Cleveland OH; three nephews:  Darryl Wherry of Cleveland OH, Brian Wherry of Blytheville AR, and Keith Stuart of Cleveland OH; special friend of more than 50 years, John Lake; her best friends: Stella Williams and Hattie Johnson, both of Blytheville AR; and a host of friends that will miss her dearly.

Memorial service will be Tuesday, April 16th, 1:00 p.m. at Carney Funeral Home in Blytheville AR.
