Billie Jean (Sharp) Porter, age 75 passed away on December 13, 2024, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She was born on March 26, 1949, to John William Sharp and Wilma Jean (Poff) Sharp of Blytheville, Arkansas. She married Frederick Winston Porter at 18 years of age. They lived 48 happy years together. She was a devoted wife to Fred, a proud mother of three to Frederick Winston Jr. (Rick), Paula Jean, and Angela Joy (Compton), a loving sister to Terry David Sharp (Karen) and a friend to everyone who knew her.
Billie Jean is preceded in death by her husband, parents, countless uncles, aunts, cousins, and an infant daughter. She is survived by her brother, his two children Jeremy (Amber), Kali Jo (Zach) and their children. Her children Rick (Carrie), Angela (Michael) and her grandchildren Lauren, Gabriel, Jack, and Abigail…All of whom, she loved very much.
Billie Jean was a talented cake decorator by trade and loved to sing at church. She lived through many things that most people could not, but she never lost her smile. Her legacy carries that sentiment. Billie Jean believed you could make the world a better place by bringing a positive attitude and the shining light of Jesus. May we always remember and honor her by doing the same.
