Bobby Joe Rich

Bobby Joe Rich, 65, of Yarbro went to his eternal home Wednesday, April 27, 2016. He passed at his home while fighting cancer. He was born to Overt O'Neil Rich and Irene Wheatley on June 14th, 1950 in Bowling Green, KY.

Bobby is survived by his wife Peggy Rich of Yarbro,

two sons, Bobby Ray Rich (Tracey) of Waverly, TN and Michael Bynum (Amber) of Hardy AR

four daughters, Cathy Simmons (Sandy) of Steele, MO, Tammy Modessitt (Dave Schrier) of Jonesboro, AR, Sheri Bynum of Marion, AR, and Connie Miller (Jared) of Gosnell, AR.

He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Bobby leaves three brothers Lonard Rich (Joan) of Bowling Green, KY, Charles Rich of Bowling Green, KY, Ronnie Rich (Nora) of Flat Rock, IN, and one sister-in-law Wiladean Rich of Bowling Green, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Alvin M. Bynum Jr., three brothers, Walter Rich, Ray Rich, and James Rich.

Bobby leaves many friends including two special families, Diane, Dwight, and Randall Wren as well as Troy and TJ Hicks.

Bobby was a carpenter for many years. He also worked as a mechanic on heavy trucks. He loved spending time with his family which included camping, cooking, and attending many ball games of grandchildren. He was known by many in the community for his willingness to help anyone that he met.

His wishes for his family and friends were for them to know the peace he knew once he committed his life to his Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Gosnell, AR and loved his church family.

Visitation will be held at Bethany Baptist Church in Gosnell beginning at noon on Saturday, April 30 with the funeral service beginning at 2 PM. Carney Funeral Home will be in charge of service arrangements.

Burial will be in Carney Cemetery.
