Cecil E. "Pete" Parks, Jr., 82, of Blytheville passed away Tuesday afternoon in Great River Medical Center. He was born January 5, 1932 to Cecil E. Parks, Sr. and Ellen Duncan Parks. He lived in Blytheville all of his life.
He worked at Hays on Main Street for years as a food stocker and maintenance. He was a very quiet man and lived a quiet life. His church was very important to him. He was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church in Blytheville. He was very faithful to the church. He was there every time the doors were open until this year when his health started to decline.
He is preceded in death by his parents and some siblings;
He is survived by his sister, Eloise Beaty, of Blytheville;
A nephew, Raymond J. Beaty, Jr. of Fairhope Alabama;
Two nieces: Glenda E. Davidson of Fairhope Alabama and Mary E. Fillmore of Blytheville;
A very special friend, Lucille Yankee;
And a host of other friends.
No services are scheduled at this time. Carney Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
