Coy B. Crihfield, 83, of Blytheville passed away August 24, 2015 at Gosnell Therapy and Living Center. He was born on October 4, 1931 to Sammy and Alice Cummings Crihfield in Lauderdale County, Tennessee. He briefly served with the National Guard and he was a member of Gosnell Baptist Church.
Mr. Crihfield was a man that loved the Lord. He was always willing to give his testimony. He was paralyzed in 2001 and was told he would never walk again. However, through her daily conversations with God his wife knew he would walk againв?¦and he did!
He loved fishing and working in the yard. He enjoyed his flowerbeds and his vegetable garden.
His family says he was a good father and grandfather to everyone, even to ones who were not his biologically. He treated everyone the same.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four sons: Coy Crihfield, Jr., Ricky Crihfield, Steve Bogue, and James Bogue; one brother, Montelle Cummings; and one sister, Kathleen Rogers.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jennye Sullivan Crihfield;
His daughters: Mitzi Burr of Henning, TN and Anita Morgan and husband Eddie of Bartlett, TN;
Two sons: Kinlock Bogue and wife Natalie of Blytheville, AR and Russell Bogue of Arlington, TN;
Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Southside Baptist Church in Dyersburg TN.
