David Mark Taylor, Sr., 60, of Blytheville passed away Sunday morning at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Steele Missouri on December 24, 1955 to J. P. and Martha Carroll Taylor.
David grew up on a farm and was a hard worker. In school he played all sports and was good at them. He had a great sense of humor. He loved to camp, hunt, and fish for crappie. He coached his children's softball, baseball, and basketball teams as they were growing up. He developed relationships with the teammates that has impacted them all their lives. Many have come back to town just to spend time with him and show him support during his illness. He was a sincere, caring, loving, and giving person.
He worked with the Gosnell Fire Department for 19 ½ years and was on the school board for 12 years.
Two people who had a big influence on him was his mother-in-law, Eupha Sacrider, and his sister-in-law, Cindy Gilbow.
He worked at Nibco for over 25 years and former employees have told the family that he was the best supervisor! He also worked at Atlas and Nucor.
David was a Christian and was a faithful member of Gosnell Baptist Church. His illness made it difficult for him to attend regularly. He started a Men's Prayer Breakfast years ago, also served on the Food Committee, taught Sunday School for the College age, and served as a Deacon at one time.
He was preceded in death by his father, J.P. Taylor.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Debbie Sacrider Taylor, of the home;
His son, David Mark Taylor, Jr., of Blytheville AR;
His daughter, Dana Taylor Woolsey and her fiance' Christopher Watkins of Blytheville AR;
