Dorothy Payne

Dorothy "Marie" Moore, 73, formerly of Blytheville, passed from this life on Tuesday, June 24 at her daughter's home in Warner Robins, GA. She was born on April 27, 1941 in Lauderdale County, Alabama to Abraham Lincoln Jackson and Mary N. Jackson.

She was a much loved mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with family, sitting outside drinking coffee - laughing and enjoying life. She loved listening to Elvis and gospel music. She loved all of her kids and grandkids unconditionally. They said "She was our angel here on earth. She got her wings on June 24th and is now our angel in heaven. We all love her so much."

In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Moore; two sons; Jimmy Moore and Donald Moore; one sister: Nell Frazier; and three brothers: Junior Jackson, Gene Jackson, and Grady Jackson;

She is survived by daughters: Cathy (Ronnie) Best of Augusta, GA, Mary (Gary) Williamson of Warner Robins, GA, Doris (Jim) Hall of Bear Creek, AL, Cindy Leidy of Russellville, AL and Tammy Mercer, of Russellville, AL; One son: Terry Moore of Birmingham, AL;
One brother: Clayton Jackson of Leachville, AR;
Two sisters: Maggie Glenn of Hillsboro, AL and Dessie Tidwell of AL.
19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great -great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 12:00 PM at Carney Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 12 noon. Burial will follow at Sandy Ridge Cemetery.
