Janet Denise Johnson Mendez, 57, of Gosnell passed away on October 17, 2018 in NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro AR. She was born in Blytheville on June 26, 1961 to Earnest “Big Boy” Johnson and Evelyn Ann Russell Johnson. Janet graduated from Blytheville High School in 1979. She was a homemaker and enjoyed being there for her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Jackie Johnson, Sr. and John Ed Johnson; and one sister, Joann Johnson.
She is survived by her husband, Pedro Mendez, of Gosnell;
One son, Richard Mendez, of Gosnell;
One daughter, Maria Mendez, of Gosnell;
Two grandchildren: Kenneth Sanders and Leland Mendez, both of Gosnell;
Two sisters: Donna Johnson King, of Clinton AR and Jane Johnson (Harold) Brewer, of Forrest City AR
Nieces and nephews: Brittany and Cody Eslick, Suezanne and Ramey Dawson, Jennifer and James Schultz, Brad and Brittini Johnson, Jena and Greg Mann, Elizabeth Emmert and Dean Foster, Jack and Alaina Johnson, Heather and Sammy Reddick, and Tre King;
Great nieces and great-nephews: Aryanna, Alivia, Addilynn, Kayleigh, Marleigh, Leah, Stephen, Kreed, Kane, Zachary, Hannah, Cody, Brandtly, Lincoln, Jackson, Kiera, Remington, Alexa, Brooklynn, Jordan, Hershael, and Michael Green;
And a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
