Jerold Dwayne Kerr, 61, of Blytheville passed away at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro on September 24, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 2, 1964 to Alfred and Leona (Kemp) Kerr in Lambert Mississippi. He was saved and baptized as a young child and was raised as Church of Christ. Mr. Kerr graduated Cleveland High School, Cleveland MS and attended Morehead State University for three years. He served his country in the United States Army.
Mr. Kerr worked as a cotton ginner with R. D. Hughes Gin Company for 25 years. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding and especially enjoyed the motorcycle club. He loved spending time with his family, especially his kids and grandkids. His grandkids were “the apple of his eye.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Leona Kerr; one granddaughter, Alyssa Wilkey; and two nephews, Tyson Muirhead and Keith Kerr.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Glenda (Harvey) Kerr, of Blytheville; a son, Justin Kerr, of Blytheville; a daughter, Tammy Wilkey, of Blytheville; three grandchildren: Joshua Kerr, Austin Wilkey, and Gemma Rose Gressett; three sisters: Cindy Findley, of Greenville MS, Susan Traikovich, of Cincinnati OH, and Desaree Harris, of Clarksdale MS; one brother, James Kerr, of St. Paul MN; six nieces: Tiffany Blaylock, Deven Regan, Dana Sayles, Charity Cassavechia, Leneaya Kerr, and Casey Carpenter; and two nephews, Tyson Kerr and Kane Kerr.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 2:00 pm in Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bryce King officiating. Burial will be Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 2:00 pm. Condolences may be offered at carneyfuneralhome.com.
