Joe Winfield McQueen, 66, died Friday at St. Bernard's Hospital in Jonesboro. Born in Tyronza, he was a life-long resident of Blytheville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in both the Korean War and in Vietnam. He was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. McQueen was retired from ACCO Industries. His hobbies were fishing, and watching westerns: The Lone Ranger, Gene Autry, Roy Rogers, Knight Rider, and the Dukes of Hazzard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Joe Winfield and Martha Jane Collins McQueen; three brothers: Jessie McQueen, Herbert Ellison, and Bud Ellison; one sister: Flora Ellison; and two wives: Betty McQueen and Carol McQueen.
He is survived by one son, Joe W. McQueen, Jr. (and Carla) from Manila; two daughters: Terisa McQueen of SouthHaven, Michigan, and Patricia McQueen of Mena, AR; twelve grandchildren, one niece, Lillie Moyer of Manila, AR, the mother of his children: Eula McQueen.
Funeral services will be in Carney Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Ferrel Duffel and Rev. Jared Russell officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 until 8 pm at Carney Funeral Home.
