Jonette Janet, 72, of Blytheville, passed away in St. Bernard’s hospital on Saturday, March 21, 2026. She was born in Kingsville TX on July 9, 1953, to Emmett and Eudora Howard. She graduated High School in Oak Harbor WA and received her Associates Degree in Mt. Vernon WA. She was of the Baptist faith.
She enjoyed working with stained glass and it had been a hobby for years. Jonette enjoyed the Mariners baseball games…she and J.W. had attended many Mariner games in Seattle. She had a good sense of humor, enjoyed watching old movies, Dr. Pol, and other veterinarian shows on TV. Jonette loved and cherished her many dogs through the years. She was content to be at home spending time with her husband who says she was a very wonderful and loving wife to him and he loved her dearly.
Jonette was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Eudora Howard; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Julius and Dorothy Janet.
She is survived by her husband, caregiver, and friend, J.W. Janet, of the home; one son, Jay Palmer, of Mt. Vernon, WA; one stepdaughter, Juliana Thorne, of Silverdale WA; one brother, Clifford Howard, of Oak Harbor, WA; two grandsons: Caleb Palmer and Eli Palmer, of Mt. Vernon WA, and other family and friends who will cherish her memories.
Graveside services will be at Carney Cemetery, Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. with Bro. Mike Richardson officiating. Condolences may be offered at carneyfuneralhome.com.
