Lance Burress, 40, died Saturday at his home in Blytheville. He was an Exit End Operator at Nucor Hickman and a member of Floral Baptist Church.
He was an avid golfer until his illness. When he could no longer play golf, he became active with Internet Gaming. He played people from all over the world, especially playing the "Pirates of the Caribbean." He was also a big fan of the Pittsburg Steelers. He didn't like to camp, but he loved to take vacations in log cabins. He was an awesome husband and father - a great family man!
Lance is survived by his wife, Denise Stalcup Burress; four daughters: Morgan Parnell of Evansville, Indiana, Anna Conley of Blytheville, Callie Brandenburg of Blytheville, and Savannah Burress of Batesville, AR; one son: Tommy Pearson Burress of Blytheville; one brother: Greg Burress of Pleasant Plains, AR; two sisters: Debbie Jones of Floral, AR and Jackie Smith of Sidney, AR; his mother: Annette Burress of Pleasant Plains, AR; one granddaughter, Haven Parnell of Evansville, Indiana; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, David and Lou Ann Stalcup of Blytheville.
He was preceded in death by his father:, Buddy Burress.
Visitation will be held At Carney Funeral Home, on Monday evening from 6 until 8.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10:30 at Carney Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
