Linda Kay Emerson, 75, of Blytheville, AR went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 5, 2025, in her home surrounded by loved ones. Kay, as she was known by most, was born in Dell, AR to Coy, Jr. and Mary Bowers Cook on August 9,1949.
Her love for her family was immeasurable. She enjoyed planning family gatherings and delegating task as the official “Godmother.” Family camping trips were her favorite time. She enjoyed her flowers and gardening. She especially enjoyed the time she got to share with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all her nieces and nephews who all held their very own special place in her heart.
Aside from her parents she was proceeded in death by her husband, Jimmy Emerson, Sr., her son Jimmy Emerson, Jr.; brothers: Phil Parish, Leonard “Bubba” Cook, and Charles Minyard; sisters; Janie Schinke, Debbie Perkins and Ann Baccus; a grandson, Willis Earle Beckett, III.
She is survived by her daughters: Bobbie K Cole (Michael), Michele Emerson, Liz Emerson and Pam Cochran; grandchildren: Michael Sims (Kaitlyn), Jake Sims (Haley), Samantha Rice, Roger Cochran (Jessica), Tressie Cochran, Jimmy Cochran, Bennett O’Brien and Caydie O’Brien; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Roger Parish (Patty), and Daniel Perkins; and a sister, Susie Minyard; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services will be conducted at Clopton United Methodist Cemetery in Brighton, TN on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Carney Funeral Home of Blytheville AR is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be offered at carneyfuneralhome.com.
