Margaret Ann Langford Kisman, 78, of Gosnell passed away peacefully at her home on Friday morning. She was born on October 5, 1942 in Celina TN to Everet Andrew Langford and Georgia Aliene Westmoreland Langford. She was a long-time member of Bethany Baptist Church in Gosnell where she assisted with the office management duties. She loved her church and loved to fellowship with her brothers and sisters in Christ.
Margaret loved to shop, especially for shoes! She also enjoyed rearranging her furniture often. She enjoyed making wreaths and bows, especially to decorate for Christmas. Christmas was her favorite holiday for two reasons, to celebrate Jesus’s birth and to be with family. She loved to talk! She loved to sing and hum her favorite gospel tunes, which she did up until the last three days of her life. Outside of the Lord, she loved her family more than anything. She enjoyed going to watch her grandchildren’s ballgames and anything else they were involved in. In fact, she went to work for Gosnell Schools in the cafeteria so that she could be close to her grandchildren! She loved working with the ladies at the school and enjoyed seeing her grandchildren at lunchtime. Margaret lived life so simple, just a good ole country girl born and raised and raised her children and grandchildren to be the same.
Margaret was married to the love of her life, Tom, for 48 years. Tom served in the military and as his wife she served too. They were stationed in Nebraska, Michigan, Missouri, England, Japan, and Arkansas twice.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Kisman; and her parents.
She is survived by her children: one son, Derek Kisman, of Gosnell; and one daughter, Gena Kisman, of Gosnell; seven grandchildren: Zachary, Parker, Kileigh, Andrew, Caleb, Adam, and Josh; and two great-grandchildren: Asher and Cameron; one sister, Betty Jo McMillan, of Florida; two brothers: James Percy Langford, of Lavergne, TN and Kenneth Harold Langford, of Murfreesboro TN; and man friends and church family that will miss her dearly.
