Mary Jane Lopez, 67, of Gosnell, Arkansas passed away at her home Wednesday, September 21, 2016. Mrs. Lopez was born in Blytheville, Arkansas January 19, 1949 to Cecil and Vena Counts Haley.
She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church in Gosnell where she worked in the nursery for a while.
Jane loved working in the yard and she loved flowers. She had a "green thumb" and could make almost anything grow. She also enjoyed going to the hills and camping out. She was very fond of gospel music and could listen to it all day long, especially the Gaithers. She liked to sit in her chair and sing hymns from the old hymn books.
Her dogs were very special to her and she was so soft-hearted, that she often took in stray dogs.
She was a very loving, giving person and the pride and joy of her life were her children and her grandchildren - they always came first.
Jane was very proud of her American Indian heritage.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters: Dora Murrell and Candace Haley.
She is survived by one son: Daniel Lopez, Jr. (Holly) of Gosnell, Arkansas;
