Mary Louise Meadows, 68, of Gosnell, passed away Saturday, June 7, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born to Andy Caldwell and Louise Whitney Caldwell on September 23, 1945 in Blytheville. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She loved rose bushes and she enjoyed watching Blytheville Court TV. She was "The BOSS!". Her sons said that "You always knew where you stood with her - she was very outspoken! " She loved being with her family and she enjoyed life. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved being a homemaker and providing a clean house for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Charles Caldwell and Don Larkin.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John Meadows of Gosnell;
Two sons: John (Tanya) Meadows, Jr. of Lake City, AR and James (DeeAnna) Meadows of Gosnell, AR; One daughter, Cynthia Riley (Mike) of Gosnell;
Grandchildren: Sabrina Taylor, James Meadows, Jr., Tomas Meadows, Joshwa Meadows, John Edward Meadows, III, Amber Meadows, Addison Romeo, Jacob Sledge, Alexis Meadows, Alina Meadows, and Anthony Meadows;
Great-grandchildren: Jalynn Meadows, Kailey Dawn Houston, Ehren Meadows, Tomas Meadows, Jr., James Allen Meadows III, and Able Alexander Meadows;
Two half-sisters: Trudy K. (David) Haynes of Mississippi and Kim (Randy) Pruitt of Blytheville;
Special cousins: Glenda Goff Nails and Evon (Jim) Paschall;
Nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at Carney Cemetery with Dr. Tommy Carney officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. at Carney Funeral Home.
