Mary Ann Stockman, 72, of Blytheville passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family surrounding her. She was born on February 11, 1953 to Robert Cecil Green and Mary Beatrice Davis Green in Blytheville AR. She was a lifelong resident of Blytheville. She graduated from Blytheville High School.
She worked at ACCO until the factory closed Mary then went to MCCC and earned her Associates degree and continued working until she became disabled. Her daughter, Laura Platt, was her primary caregiver and took wonderful care of her.
Mary loved going to church at Clearlake Baptist Church and Ruddle Road Church of God, when her health allowed it. She enjoyed watching TV especially the Lifetime channel. She also liked watching wrestling with family on TV and attending in person at times. Her grandson said he will miss playing spades with her. She also enjoyed her phone, playing games and talking to family. Her grandkids and other family members remember her Pancake breakfasts – she always made time for family, especially her grandkids. Her family says she had the biggest heart and was a very loving person.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Cecil and Mary Beatrice Green; and one brother, Robert Ray Green.
Mary is survived by her children: James Stockman, Laura and James Platt, and Lonnie Stockman, all of Blytheville AR;
Twelve grandchildren: Haley, Devin, Destiny, J.J., Andrea, Breana, Phillip, Madison, Cameron, Jeremiah, Jacob, and Jace;
Many great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary didn’t have sisters but had special friends that seemed like sisters: Molly Seagraves and Cindy Platt; and many other friends that felt like family; her beloved family dog, Repo, passed away a couple months before Mary. Upon learning of his grandmother’s death, a grandson responded with “she is up in Heaven with Repo!”
