Norma Jean Goforth, 82, of Blytheville passed away on May 10th at St. Bernard’s Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born in Chicago IL on April 9, 1938 to Alvin and Eula Sampson. She lived most of her life in Chicago until she moved to Blytheville approximately 20 years ago.
She was a waitress by trade. She enjoyed bowling, yardwork, but her favorite thing was being with her family and having a great time! She loved doing things for her children and grandchildren. She was the glue that held the family together.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Charles Goforth.
She is survived by two daughters: Cynthia (John) Lombardi and Valerie (Kenneth) Brown, all of Blytheville;
One son, Dennis (Carolyn) Goforth, of Cape Girardeau, MO;
Grandchildren: Russell Resendiz, Gregory Resendiz, Christian Brown, Anna Brewer, Adam Brown, Veronica Pinkard, and Eric Brown;
Great-grandchildren: Raven, Aiden, Jase, Kyla, Ava, and Lucas;
Two brothers: Richard (Marge) Sampson and James (Vi) Sampson;
One sister, Elsie (Sam) Realmuto;
Cousin-in-law and neighbors, Jimmy (Debbie) Goforth;
There will be no memorial service at this time.
