Patricia “Pat” Dawn Holifield, 67, of Blytheville passed away at home on Sunday night, May 31, 2026.  She was born in Blytheville on February 18, 1959 to Chester Harvey Henson and Eula Mae Whittle. She attended local schools and completed over three (3) years of college.

When she was young she had worked at Gibson Discount store with Gary, her husband of 50 years.  She also worked at Bell’s, Kmart, The Village News as a carrier, and Courier News.  As a hobby she enjoyed crocheting and cross stitching. She had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed spending every minute with her soulmate and husband, Gary.

Pat was a lifelong Elvis fan and animal lover, especially horses and dogs. While all her friends were buying cars at sixteen, Pat bought her first horse, Trigger. She and Gary attended many horse shows and competed in barrel racing. Pat had many pets over the years, but her dog “Little Bit” had her heart to the end.

She loved her family and was so very proud of her four children . Her grandson, Maddox, was her “lil buddy”, he followed her around everywhere.  When he wasn’t with her he carried her picture with him.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Gary Lynn Holifield; and her parents, Chester and Eula Mae Henson; her five brothers; Danny Henson, Buddy Henson, Sonny Henson, Dennis Henson, and David Henson,

She is survived by her four children:  Chris and Ashley Holifield, Daniel and Maria Holifield, Megan and Heath Phillip, and Morgan and Jason Clark; Seventeen (17) grandchildren; Six (6) great-grandchildren; her sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Dan Fagin; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 10:00 am in Carney Cemetery.  A visitation will be Friday evening, June 12, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 pm.  Condolences may be offered at carneyfuneralhome.com
