Patsy "Pat" Lucille Avery Obituary

Patsy Lucille Avery, 76, of Blytheville passed away at home on Tuesday evening with family surrounding her.  She was born in Blytheville on June, 27, 1946 to her parents Bufford and Wilma Stubbs.  She attended Blytheville schools and later spent over 40 years as the cafeteria manager for Blytheville Public Schools.  She was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of Grace Life Church in Blytheville.

Pat enjoyed reading her bible, going to church, rummage sales, cooking, and arts & crafts.  She loved trying new stuff, and she made the best Christmas candy, especially peanut butter balls, chocolate turtles, and cornflake chewies.  More than anything she loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jimmy Avery; her son, Jeffery Avery; and her parents.

She is survived by her son, Mark Sr., and Marsha Avery,  of Evening Shade, AR; a brother, Tony Stubbs of Armorel, AR; a sister, Shela Wright, of Canton, GA; a daughter-in-law, Miriam Carlton, of Dyess, AR; a sister-in-law, Eloise and James Stokes, of Etowah, AR; her grandchildren:  Zach and Nikki Wilson, Sara Avery, Michele Avery, Mark Avery, Jr., Hunter Avery, Brian Jackson, and Kevion Hollis; great-grandchildren:  Kyler Nicole, Zander Wayne, and Saylor Grace;  her dog, Jazper Leann; and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 on Monday, December 12, 2022 in Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Stokes officiating.  Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. until service begins.  Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.  Condolences may be offered at carneyfuneralhome.com.
