Philip Washington Obituary

Philip Ryan Washington passed away at home on April 27, 2014. He was born on September 15, 1975, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Philip was employed with American Greetings. He liked construction work especially drywall. He enjoyed gardening, but mostly he loved being with his family.  He was a philosopher.  His was the family “bodyguard.” He looked after everyone.

Philip Washington is survived by his mother, Shirley (Charles) Howard of Blytheville, AR and one sister, Robin Cobb, of Pittsburg, CA. He also leaves and cherishes his fiance’, LaDoris Davis of Peoria, IL.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Destiny Carpenter, Phylynise Washington, Laura Washington, Trayshioun Washington, Philip Washington, Jr., Jarrius Washington and one step-daughter, Jeniyah Davis.

Philip also leaves and cherishes his only unborn grandson, Ty’Mere Fortune.

Philip leaves and cherishes his only nephew Naval Petty Officer James Garner, Jr. of Fallon, NV and three special nieces: Kandace Garner of Little Rock, AR, Stephanie Smallwood of Pittsburg, CA and Jasmine Bell-Cobb of Las Vegas, NV.  Phillip Washington was blessed to be a great uncle of Mya Garner, and leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 3rd, at 1:00 p.m. in Carney Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be 11:00-1:00 until service begins. Minister Lorraine Walker will be officiating. Condolences may be offered at www.carneyfuneralhome.com.
