Reginald "Shane" Warner Handerson, 74, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday evening, August 8th, in NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born July 2, 1939 in Ashtabula Ohio to his parents Leon and Opal Handerson.
In younger years, Mr. Handerson had worked in shipyards. He retired from his OTR truck driver career of over 20 years due to a disability.
His hobbies included anything outdoors! He loved fishing, mowing the lawn, and fixing things. He also loved his little dog, Nina, but more than anything he loved spending time with his family. It was really important to him that his family was close and enjoyed being together.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jerilyn Gulliksen Handerson of Blytheville; two daughters: Patti (James) Rogers and Trudy Sawyers all of Blytheville; four grandchildren: Robert (Tiffany) Rogers of Blytheville, Karissa Rogers of Blytheville, Austin Sawyers of Holcomb MO, and Crystal Banks of Gosnell; and one great-grandchild: Ronnie Hood of Gosnell.
Carney Funeral Home has been in charge of arrangements. There will be no public visitation or services.
