Ricky Autry Obituary

Ricky Dwayne Autry, 62, of Millington, TN, passed away on Saturday evening, April 15, 2023, while visiting his sister’s home in Missouri. A memorial service will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. April 20, 2023, at Mt. Zion Community Church in Medina TN with his nephew, Kevin Autry officiating.

Ricky was born in Memphis, TN to Guy and Wilma Hedge Autry on August 9, 1960. He was married to Sandy Pecoraro Autry. He was a graduate of Humboldt High School in Humboldt, TN.

Ricky was an avid sports fan and enjoyed time on the golf course. He loved watching all high school and college sports. He was also a diehard Memphis Tiger fan. He enjoyed coaching his son’s baseball and basketball teams and enjoyed many years of umpiring little league baseball. He also enjoyed being a band parent of both daughters during their high school careers in flag and rifles. Ricky was very active in his church in several capacities and enjoyed his years of working with the church youth programs.

The majority of Ricky’s career was spent as a general manager. He enjoyed his many years at Fluidpower Technologies, and he recently retired as general manager of a sports and netting company in Memphis.

Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Wilma Autry, and his grandparents, Jack and Lalar Hedge and Hubert and Ethel Autry.

Ricky is survived by his wife, Sandy. His children, Spenser Autry (Arlene), Amber Autry, and Courtney Branch (Joshua). His bonus children, Brianna Cooper (Adam) and River Capps (Ali). His bonus grandchildren, Hunter, Klay, Landrum, Lena, Shade and Levee. His brothers, Ronnie Autry (Bonnie), Roger Autry (Gay), Jeff Autry (Beth), Danny Bradfield (Michelle), and his sister Vickie Carney (Joe). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Christian Family Service, 7955 Big Bend Blvd. Webster Groves, MO 63119, stlcs.org. This is a Christian adoption and family service agency that is near and dear to our heart.
