Robert Lee Walker, 75, of Manila passed from this life on Thursday evening, March 19, 2015, at his home. He was born on October 25, 1939 in Norfolk, Virginia to James Walker and Frances Greene Walker.
While living in Virginia, he owned a printing company for more than 20 years. After moving to Arkansas, he worked many years at Barton's Lumber Company in Manila and Osceola. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Mr. Walker enjoyed doing things outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, boating, jet skiing, and camping. Most of all, he liked spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed building things, in fact, he and his wife built their own house.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers: Walter, Richard, James, and Rudolph Walker.
He is survived by his wife, Frances of Manila;
one son: Robert (Bobby) Walker, of Tampa, Florida;
three daughters: Stacey Walker of Blytheville, and LeAnne Walker and Karen Walker, both of Tampa, Florida;
and several grandchildren.
There will be a public visitation on Tuesday evening from 6:30 until 7:30 at Carney Funeral Home in Blytheville.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at Manila Cemetery in Manila, AR.
