Ronnie Lee Birmingham, 64, of Jonesboro passed away at St. Bernard’s Medical Center on Saturday, March 13, 2021. He was born in Lost Cane AR on March 1, 1957 to Joe and Mildred Rogers Birmingham.
He was an equipment operator and supervisor. His family said he was a workaholic. He worked hard and expected others to work hard too. He was loyal to his employer, having worked for only two companies his entire life.
Mr. Birmingham loved the Dallas Cowboys and the 49ers, and Diet Mtn Dew. He enjoyed cooking new recipes he found on facebook. He liked watching the news, politics, The Virginian and a few other shows. He had a great sense of humor, but didn’t show it around just anyone. His family said he was an honest and honorable man. He was respected by his friends and family. He loved his family and was looking forward to the arrival of his great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Peggy Diane Birmingham; two step-children: Carie Lynn Clark and Tommy Ray Clark; his parents; a brother, Glenn Birmingham; and a sister, Vicki Ralls.
He is survived by his daughter, Becky (Brian) Krech, of Corinth, MS;
Six grandchildren: Alexis Krech, Brandan Clark, Carrie Krech, Briana Krech, Brian Matthew Krech, and Aaliyah Krech;
One great-grandchild on the way, Waverly Diane Vernon;
Three step-children: Melissa Tucker, David Edwards, and Mechelle England;
One brother, Robert Birmingham, of Luxora AR
Two sisters: Brenda Birmingham, of Lone Oak AR and Peggy Eaton of Lansing MI;
Special brother-in-law, David Killingsworth;
Best friend, Dave Rogers;
And a special friend, Lynn Parsons;
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Carney Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be offered at carneyfuneralhome.com.
