Roy Green

Roy Allen Green, 66, of Blytheville passed away on January 15, 2019 at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born in Blytheville to Hubert Columbus and Clarice Bell (Kinchen) Green on February 22, 1952. Roy was a lifelong resident of Blytheville and he retired from Nibco.

Roy had a funny sense of humor. He loved his grandchildren and his dog, Scooter. He also loved playing his bass guitar, especially gospel music, in church or anywhere else.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Jessica Dawn Williams; five brothers: Arlie Green, Tommy Green, Leon Green, Dennie Green, and Ronnie Green.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Joyce Green, of the home;

Three sons: Roy Wayne Green and Tony Ray Green, of Blytheville; and Timothy “Bubba” (Stephanie) Southern, of Gosnell;

Two daughters: Angela Marie (Allen) Redden, of Jonesboro and Sherry Ann Williams, of Blytheville;

Three brothers: Elmer C. (Joyce A.) Green, Bobby Lee (Patricia) Green, and Timmy Ray (Shannon) Green, all of Blytheville;

Three sisters: Barbara Sue (Anthony) Gray, of Branson MO; Wilma Jean Byrd, of Blytheville; and Tammy Kay (Tien “Chain”) of Gosnell;

Two grandsons: Jeremy Reece (Jackie) Jones and Cody Ray Green;

Five granddaughters: Amanda Marie (Eric) Ivey, Kaila Elaine Williams (Cory) Hurt, Marissa Nichole Green, Kaitlyn Renia Reed Southern, and Jaycie Nicole Southern;

And six great-grandchildren;

And a host of friends and family that will miss him dearly.
