Sandra Elrod, 60, of Blytheville, passed away on December 29, 2022, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville, Arkansas. Sandra was born in Blytheville on July 9, 1962, to Lloyd and Mattie (Armstrong) McKinney.
Sandra was an author and wrote under the pen name Bethany Cross. She loved writing romantic novels. She became a nurse 38 years ago. Her love for helping others led to her nursing career.
She is preceded by her parents Lloyd and Mattie (Armstrong) McKinney, and one grandson, Jaden Pierce.
She is survived by her son Lloyd Pierce of Gosnell Arkansas; two daughters, Gene-Marie Simms, of Gosnell Arkansas, and Jamie Savage, of Pennsylvania; two granddaughters that she raised, Zanda-Lee Boyles and Katt Stinger, both of Blytheville Arkansas; and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.
