Sharon Leslie Harrington, 64, of Gosnell passed away at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born in St. Louis MO on September 15, 1958 to J. W. Greer and Roy Eileen Carwyle. The family moved to Blytheville when Sharon was in the third grade and she’s been here ever since. She was a Blytheville high school graduate.
She was a private person with strong opinions and always spoke her mind. She had a great sense of humor and had a BIG hardy laugh. She was a hard worker, and it was very important to her to be punctual. She would often say, “if you are not 10-15 minutes early for work, then you are late!” Her family says she was a good cook and made the best chicken and dumplings. She was a happy person and tried to live a drama-free life. Her main hobby was crocheting blankets.
Sharon was a Christian and believed in the power of prayer, in fact, her family made the comment they thought “she had a direct line up there.” She had a strong faith and never faltered.
She was preceded in death by husband, David Harrington; her parents, J. W. Greer and Roy Eileen Greer; four brothers: Jimmy Greer, Donny Greer, Kenny Potts, and Danny Potts.
She is survived by her children: one daughter, Kelly Privett, of Springdale AR; two sons, Michael (and Autumn) Harrington and Chase Harrington, both of Gosnell, AR; grandchildren: Nataleigh Humblet, Brylee Humblet, Lexis Harrington, and Lacey Harrington.
One sister, Karen (and Danny) Dixon, of Blytheville;
Her best friend of over 40 years, Theresa (and Danny) Harrington;
And many friends and family that will miss her dearly.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Condolences may be offered at carneyfuneralhome.com.
