Verda “Polly” Carlene Chrisco, 83, of Blytheville passed away on February 11, 2022 at NEA Hospital in Jonesboro. She was born on March 22, 1938 in Steele MO to William “Pete” Carl Boney and Mavorlene Davis Boney. She moved to Blytheville at a young age and lived here most of her life. She graduated from Blytheville High School in 1956. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Blytheville for over 50 years.
Polly worked in the hospitality industry for over 25 years. She had a great work ethic. She made sure all her work was done before she left for the day (and usually double checked others work too!). She loved working with people and helping to meet their needs. She was that way with her family too. She loved her family and worked hard to make sure their needs were met. She always looked forward to the family reunions in Mississippi. It was very important to her for family to get together and stay connected.
Polly was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ron Chrisco; her daughter, Deborah Glasscock Byrd; her brother, Clyde Hugh Whatley; and her sister, Annie Elizabeth Calicutt.
She is survived by her son, Johnny William and Mildred Glasscock, of Blytheville; her daughter, Delinda Ruth Glasscock and Buddy Copeland, of Blytheville AR; grandchildren: Ronnie Connell and Anthony Smith, of Blytheville AR; Melissa and Eli Burch, of Calico Rock AR, Sylvia and Tad Snow, of Gosnell, Jennifer and Cordero Rogers, Thomas and Tori Dean, Kristen Johnson, Johnny Lee Glasscock, and Jesse and Heather Dean, all of Blytheville; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and other family and friends that will miss her dearly.
A private memorial service will be held in the future.
