Mrs. Wanda Sue Knight, 78, of Blytheville, died early Sunday morning at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. She was born in Blytheville to Artie R. Moody and Annie Marie Tankersley Moody. She was a life-long resident of Blytheville who loved being at home.
She was retired from Bush Canning Company. She loved working in her yard, but her favorite thing was playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A quiet, reserved woman, she was very protective of her family.
Sue was a faithful member of the Lone Oak Missionary Baptist Church and really enjoyed gospel music. Her favorite meal was chicken and dressing and potato salad. She was a warm, kind, generous, woman.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years: William "Buddy" Knight of Manila;
Two sons: Timothy Dale Knight (and Christy) of Manila and
Carlton Dwight Knight (and Freda) of Russellville, AR
one sister: Viola Starnes of Mountain View, AR;
one brother, Hershel Moody of Hamburg, MI;
four grandchildren: Shane Knight, Logan Knight, William Knight, and Morgan Knight; and
four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 PM Wednesday at Carney Funeral Home in Blytheville.
Funeral services will take place Thursday at 3 PM at Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitchell King officiating.
Burial will be in Carney Cemetery.
