Karl Wayne Honeycutt, 74, of Jonesboro, went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2013. He was born in Blytheville on August 17, 1938 to Dewey and Gertie Honeycutt. He graduated from Blytheville High School, where he participated in the sports program. He was an avid sports fan, and enjoyed playing and coaching when he was younger and watching sporting events in his later years. He was also known as being a pretty good dancer. His other hobby was reading. He especially liked mysteries.

He was saved and baptized at Gosnell Baptist church and later, after moving to Missouri, he joined the First Christian Church in Sikeston.

Wayne retired as President/CEO of Craighead Electric Cooperative after 45 years in the rural electric cooperative program. He served as president of the Board of Directors for Arkansas Electric Cooperative, Inc. (AECI), and the Electric Research Manufacturing Cooperative (ERMCO). He organized and served as president of the Arkansas Electric Cooperatives Managers Association and helped establish the electric lineman school at ASU Newport. Wayne was a member of the Chambers of Commerce in Jonesboro, Walnut Ridge, Jonesboro, and Marked Tree and served on various committees.

Wayne always considered his most rewarding achievement in life was the love and respect of his family and friends.
