Wendy Dawn Langdon

Wendy “Winnie” Langdon, 47, of Gosnell, passed away suddenly on August 8, 2023.  She was born in Memphis TN on February 27, 1976, to Brenda Gale Blakney. 

Wendy graduated in 2009 from Arkansas Northeastern College with her Registered Dental Assistant Certificate (RDA). 

Growing up, Wendy was a good child.  She had a giving heart.  She loved everybody she encountered.  She will be remembered as being a great cook, the best mom, and an awesome Winnie.   She was always making a gallon of sweet tea.  She loved 80’s music and messy buns.  She was the best housekeeper.  Her happiest days were spent with her grandbabies.  She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.  She loved her children, grandchildren, and her dog Bubbles the most.

She was preceded in death by her step-father, Billy Holt; her special aunt, Judy Harrington; and her step-son, Billy McCune.

She is survived by her husband, Brian Jay Langdon, of Gosnell; one daughter, Haley and Kaleb Childress, of Gosnell; one son, Skyler “Bubba” Langdon, of Gosnell; four grandchildren:  Jayce, Ella, Karleigh, and Kinsley; her mother, Brenda Holt, of Blytheville; one sister, Crystal Curtis, of Blytheville; one niece, Alyssia Cain; and one nephew, Brody Cain; two best friends:  Megan Tally and Victoria Hatley; her dog, Bubbles, who was her baby!; and many other family and friends that will miss her sweet soul. 

Funeral services will be Monday, August 14, 2023, at 3:00 pm at Carney Funeral Home, 1501 Byrum Rd, Blytheville AR, with Pastor Tim Fulks officiating.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service begins.  Burial will be in Carney Cemetery.  Condolences may be offered at carneyfuneralhome.com.
