William Fitzgerald Obituary
William Ray "Billy" Fitzgerald, 58, of Memphis, TN passed away on September 17, 2019. After a 16 month long battle with cancer the Good Lord called him home to be at peace. Billy will be greatly missed by his family & friends.
Billy leaves behind his loving devoted wife and best friend of 28 years Connie McKinney Fitzgerald. He leaves his loving daughter Erica Brooke Wright, her husband Brooke Allen Wright, and his greatest pride and joy, and legacy, grandson Wesley Allen Wright of Hendersonville, TN; and his dear mother in law Eunice "MeMe" Carter of Ashland, MS. Billy leaves behind one sibling, Beth Ann Rothrock, her husband Taylor Rothrock of Germantown, TN and nephew Russell Pilgrim Jr. of West Plains, MO. Other family members include Caitlyn Bryan, Emily Fitzgerald, Beth Fitzgerald, two Aunts, one Uncle, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Fitzgerald, his mother, Glenna Cook Holmes, a sibling, Steven Scott Fitzgerald and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
Billy loved life and had many friends who truly loved and adored him. He had a larger than life personality and always had a smile on his face. The majority of his career was spent in the hospitality industry in Tunica, MS. Billy enjoyed spending time with his family, grilling, golfing, music, and racing.
Funeral Services will be held Friday September 20, 2019 at Carney Funeral Home: 1501 Byrum Road, Blytheville, AR 72315, with Dr. Jim Russell officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00PM and Funeral Service will follow at 2:00PM. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
