William Dennis "Big" Meadows, 64, of Gosnell, went to be with the Lord suddenly on Friday, Nov.7 at Great River Medical Center. He was born in Osceola, AR on August 8, 1950, the son of Evelyn Francis and Payton Meadows, JR.
He was a longtime former employee of Nucor, and had worked for Atlas Tube for four years. He loved the Lord and was a member of Gosnell Baptist Church.
He was a very skilled mechanic, and could listen to a car motor and know what was wrong with it. He was also a very avid Nascar fan. Big loved motorcycles, especially Harleys! He enjoyed volunteering and helping other people, and he "rode for St. Judes", one of his favorite charities.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Judes Children Research Hospital, The Wounded Warriors, or the disabled Veterans Association.
His dog, Bandit, went with him everywhere he went. Big loved to talk, and he never met a stranger. He liked to "photo bomb" and take selfies.
Taking his family to the lake was one of his favorite pastimes. He loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart, and he loved doing things with them. He was very kindhearted - he was awesome!
He was preceded in death by his parents;
He is survived by his wife, Linda of Blytheville;
three daughters: Chloe Meadows of Newcastle, PA, Carla Trammel of Cooter, MO; and Stacy Jones, of Blytheville, AR;
one son: Adrian Burks (and Misty) of Lowell, AR;

and a host of friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 9 from 4 til 6 p.m. at Carney Funeral Home in Blytheville.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, The Wounded Warriors or The Disabled Veterans organization.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Carney Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Oakley officiating.
