Wilma Snyder Obituary

Mrs. Wilma Snyder, 99, a life long resident of Blytheville, Arkansas passed from this life Monday, June 9, 2014 at Monette Manor in Monette, Arkansas. She was born to Lester and Alma Baines Woodhouse on October 1, 1914 and would have been 100 on October 1. She was of the Baptist Faith.


Wilma was an excellent seamstress, making many items of home decor. such as draperies, curtains, tablecloths, placemats, etc. She loved the outdoors and spent many hours caring for her yard, flowers and shrubs, doing most of the work herself.


Christmas was her favorite time of year. She always decorated a large Christmas tree and her dining table was prepared with lovely linens and dishes for the season.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse R. Snyder;
two sisters: Maude Cassidy and Jewel Snyder; four brothers: Weldon, Aubrey Lee, William (Bud) and Paul Woodhouse.

She is survived by her son, Ralph (Roberta) Snyder of Blytheville, AR;
one grandson, Jeffrey Snyder; of Hernando, Mississippi;

her only surviving sibling: Ruby Frances Shrable of Flint, Michigan.

She also leaves two dear friends: Bette Ledbetter and Joyce Cozart, both of Blytheville, AR.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 11th, at 11:00 AM at Carney Funeral Home with Dr. Tommy Carney officiating. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM until service time.

Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
