Thank you for visiting our website. Carney Funeral Home is owned and operated by Tommy and Mabelee Carney and Randy and Lana Carney. Let us tell you a little bit about ourselves:
Randy Carney, a Blytheville native, has been a funeral home director and /or embalmer for over 25 years, and manager/CEO of several funeral homes for more than 10 years. He is a certified eye enucleator with the Arkansas Eye Bank, and also specializes in pre-needs. He and his wife, Lana, who is a licensed funeral director, now reside in Osceola, with their two sons, David and Luke. His daughter, Amanda, lives in Memphis. Lana is a first grade teacher in Osceola public Schools, and will also be assisting with visitations and funerals as her teaching position allows.
Dr. Tommy Carney,also a native of Blytheville, a licensed funeral director, is the administrator of the funeral home, and is also in charge of the cemetery. He has been an ordained minister for over 53 years, was an adjunct instructor at Arkansas Northeastern College for 10 years, and retired in December 2007 after three terms as Mississippi County Coroner. Tommy and Mabelee have been married for 58 years, and have five children: Joe, Rick, Randy, Susan, and Alan.
Dr. Mabelee Carney, a Blytheville native, is the office manager and is also a licensed funeral director. She is retired from Arkansas Northeastern College where she was a math instructor, and also served 8 years as head of the College Preparation Department.
Susan Carney Lambert, a native of Blytheville, is the Director of Human Resources. She is also a licensed specialist in pre-needs and a licensed funeral director. Susan and her sons, Daniel and Jon, help out with the lawn care, and Daniel often assists with funerals.

In addition to the spacious foyer and parlors, we are very proud of our “Batesville Room.” Batesville Casket Company is the number one casket company in the world. This room is unique in our area and you will have to see it to truly appreciate this new concept that is provided. We have a state-of-the-art preparation room, a lovely fully equipped kitchen/hospitality room where families can have a sit-down dinner, or just use it to have a cup of coffee and visit quietly with a few friends, and last, but certainly not least, we have a gorgeous blue and white chapel in which to memorialize the life of your loved one.
